I joined In Shape Fitness in January 2017 to enhance my passion for running. Although I worked out occasionally, Covid led to weight gain and pushed me to commit to real change. My goal was to build strength and a stronger core to support my running. Since then, I’ve lost 20% of my body weight, cut over 40 minutes off my marathon time, and completed my 22nd consecutive NYC Marathon with a personal best of 3:33:54.
Balancing work, volunteering, and being a role model to my two amazing kids, as well as cherishing the support of my loving wife, I make fitness a priority, aspiring to one day break the record for most NYC Marathons completed. Having tried gyms like Equinox and Planet Fitness, none compare to In Shape’s unmatched culture, cutting-edge equipment, and supportive community. My advice: One day or day one—consistency is key, not perfection.
